The villa can be reached by car (via ferry-boat), public transportation (waterbus / vaporetto) or by private water taxi directly to our dock.

Arriving by air

By Air

Arrival Instructions from Marco Polo International Airport


Upon arrival at Marco Polo International Airport, proceed to the departure level and follow the signs for “Trasporti via acqua / Water Transport”. Facing the main exit, turn left and walk to the end of the hall, passing the car rental booths and the departure lines on your left.


At the end of the hall, take the long covered walkway. Continue straight, passing over a series of moving sidewalks, until you reach the escalators leading down to the piers. From here, you have two options:

1. Public Water Bus (“Alilaguna” Blue Line):

• Duration: Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes

• Cost: €15 per person

• Destination: Lido Santa Maria Elisabetta (S.M.E.)

• Timetable: Available at Alilaguna

2. Private Water Taxi:

• Duration: Approximately 35 minutes

• Cost: €140 for up to 4 passengers

• Destination: Directly to the docking at the villa.


If you choose the Alilaguna water bus, it will bring you to Lido Santa Maria Elisabetta (S.M.E.). From there, you can reach the villa by:

• Walking: A 900-meter walk (approx. 10 minutes).

• Taxi: A 3-minute ride costing around €10.

• Public Bus: Take Line A (towards Faro Rocchetta) or Line B (towards Malamocco) and alight after 2 stops at “Gallo Contarini”.

By Water Taxi

If you choose to take a private water taxi from the airport, train station, or anywhere in Venice during your stay, please contact us in advance so we can provide instructions to the taxi driver to bring you directly to our private dock, which is now fully operational.


This dock is the most convenient and direct way to arrive at Ca’ delle Contesse, located just steps away from the villa.


If needed, you can also refer to the dock in front of “Isola di San Lazzaro”, near the apartment building with blue awnings, as an alternative.

By Train

Arrival Instructions from Venezia Santa Lucia Station


Upon arriving at Venezia Santa Lucia Station, you can take the public waterboat (“vaporetto”) number 5.1 or 5.2, which will take you to Lido Santa Maria Elisabetta (Lido S.M.E.) in approximately 45 minutes. For more details and schedules, please visit the ACTV website.


Once you arrive at Lido S.M.E., you have several options to reach the villa:

• Taxi: A quick 2-minute ride costing approximately €10.

• Walking: A pleasant walk of 900 meters (about 10 minutes).

• Public Bus: Take Line A (towards Faro Rocchetta) or Line B (towards Malamocco) and get off after 2 stops at the “Gallo Contarini” stop.


Alternatively, you may opt for a private water taxi directly from the train station to the villa, which is a convenient choice, particularly if traveling with a larger group. Follow the instructions above.

Ferry boat to Lido of Venice

Set your GPS to “Tronchetto/Venice”, where you’ll find the ferry boat service to Lido.


Ferries depart approximately every 50 minutes (more information available here). We recommend reserving your spot online, especially during the summer months, to avoid long queues.


The ferry ride to Lido takes around 30 minutes, and Ca’ delle Contesse is just a 5-minute drive from the ferry pier. Use the address provided  for navigation.
